Visakha Vidyalaya emerged the victors of the cricketing encounter organized along with Musaeus College, which concluded at Thurstan Grounds, Colombo this evening.
The Visakhians who batted first showed off their batting prowess by scoring a total of 224 for the loss of no wickets within 20 overs while the Musaeite team was dismissed for 99 runs despite a valiant fight. This is the first annual cricketing encounter of its kind to have been organized by two girls’ schools in Sri Lanka.
Both Visakha Vidyalaya & Musaeus College have been trendsetters in all aspects since their inception; so it comes as no surprise that they have achieved yet another milestone by establishing this encounter. Undoubtedly this will be the first of many exciting cricketing encounters to follow in years to come.
